Scupper drainage remains popular as a means to evacuate stormwater from a box gutter directly to outside of the building, usually via an external rain head.

The Situation: Leaves, twigs, vermin and other debris accumulate over time. A rain event will direct this accumulation downstream to the scupper. Without a Scupper Guard, this debris will pass directly into the rain head, blocking the primary drain.

Existing scupper guards on the market are poorly designed, untested, prone to clogging, and reduce the scupper’s flow rate. An E2 compliant scupper, for example, is sized to serve a given surface area (i.e. flow-rate). An E2 compliant scupper with a restrictive scupper guard cannot be deemed compliant.

Designed to seamlessly fit all Aquaknight Scuppers, they’ve been rigorously evaluated across the product line, guaranteeing compliance and efficiency.
